About Swarnamukhi Hospital
Origins and Registration
The Sri A. G. Ramaiah Reddy Charitable Trust was formally registered on 6th December 1985 in Bangalore with a clear and compassionate mission: to establish accessible medical facilities for rural, poor, needy, and socially disadvantaged communities in and around Kaikondrahalli—then a remote village on the outskirts of the city.
Today, Kaikondrahalli is part of the jurisdiction of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, reflecting the area’s rapid urban transformation. Yet, the Trust’s founding commitment to community-centered, affordable healthcare remains steadfast and unchanged.
A Vision Rooted in Service
Swarnamukhi Hospital stands today as a beacon of compassionate and ethical healthcare in the Kaikondrahalli community. The hospital was founded by Dr. A. R. Ramachandra Reddy, a visionary anaesthetist with an NRI background who chose to return to his roots with a singular purpose—to serve the underserved and bridge critical healthcare gaps in the region.
The institution functions under the stewardship of the Trust, established in honor of his father, A. G. Ramaiah Reddy—a respected freedom fighter and former member of the Representative Assembly. Inspired by his father’s legacy of integrity, sacrifice, and public service, the hospital continues to uphold the values of equity, accessibility, and social responsibility in healthcare delivery.
