Sri A. G. Ramaiah Reddy Charitable Trust

The benefits of the Trust, as constituted under the original Trust Deed, shall be open to the public at large, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.

Healthcare, Institutions, and Welfare

The Trust shall construct, promote, establish, manage, maintain, and supervise institutions providing medical facilities and treatment to patients at concessional charges. It shall also run hostels, schools, colleges, nursing colleges, rehabilitation centres, and other institutions for poor and needy persons, including blind and mentally and/or physically handicapped individuals. The Trust may also assist any or all of the foregoing institutions through monetary assistance, managerial assistance, imparting of know-how, and provision of labour force, strictly without any profit motive.

Training and Education for the Differently-Abled

The Trust shall impart knowledge, training, education, and know-how to teachers, parents, social organisations, social workers, and the general public, relating to:

Physiotherapy, speech therapy, and other therapies required for blind and physically and/or mentally handicapped persons
Methods of imparting knowledge and education to such persons
Ways and means of helping such persons make the best use of their abilities and skills
Necessary training to overcome handicap
Rehabilitation of blind or handicapped persons
Early detection, cure, and prevention of handicap in persons
Any other activities useful to blind and physically and/or mentally handicapped persons, without any profit motive

Research and Assistive Devices

The Trust shall conduct or assist in conducting research into training methods for blind and physically and/or mentally handicapped persons, including equipment and other aids required by them. It may also manufacture or deal in artificial limbs, hearing aids, and other aids required by handicapped persons, strictly without any profit motive.

Financial Assistance and Welfare Support

The Trust shall provide or assist in providing monetary assistance, stipends, scholarships, maintenance allowances, food, clothing, books, hostel facilities, medical facilities, and other requirements — either free of cost or at concessional rates — and shall generally render assistance without any profit motive.

Promotion of Education

The Trust shall promote education by establishing, managing, maintaining, and running schools, training institutions, laboratories, colleges, public halls, reading rooms, and similar institutions.

Mid-Day Meals and Community Feeding

The Trust shall maintain, run, and assist in the provision of mid-day meals, poor feeding programmes, and the like, and shall distribute food, clothing, and similar essentials either free of cost or at concessional rates.

Student Scholarships and Academic Support

The Trust shall assist students in pursuing academic, professional, and other studies by providing scholarships, hostel facilities, food, books, and other requirements — free of cost or at concessional rates — and shall generally render financial assistance without any profit motive.

Contributions to Registered Charitable Bodies

The Trust shall aid, assist, donate, or otherwise contribute funds to societies, institutions, trusts, and other funds recognised under Section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, for the purpose of allowing donors to claim deductions under the said section.

Diagnostic and Allied Health Services

The Trust shall establish and run blood banks, clinical laboratories, and X-ray clinics, and shall carry out all such acts, deeds, and things that are incidental to or necessary for the promotion of the above objectives.
